This can be a more accurate description of the Riad and it's rooms including a list of all key features which will be helpful for quick comparisons.

The very name of Zanzibar evokes images of a magical and exotic island, just a short hop off the East Coast of Africa. The island is idyllically fringed by white powdery sand beaches, with swaying palms, warm turquoise seas, and outlying coral reefs. It’s turbulent history, influenced by many invasions, has generated a culture which is a fusion of Swahili, blended with Arabic style, and European overtones. The main city of Stone Town is much more alluring and colourful than its name suggests, with winding labyrinthine streets, it is reminiscent of the North African medinas. A new generation of smart boutique hotels is now emerging in town, many with rooftop views of the ocean, whilst the coastal resorts cater for those wishing to quietly relax and unwind, or to participate in more adventurous water sports. The interior is home to the famous spice plantations, and the mysterious Jozani forest. So close to the equator, the climate is hot and humid, and is mainly closed to tourists during the rainy months of April and May.

Tanzania – this vast and stable East African country offers a wide selection of safari opportunities. The Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater are most well known and teeming with game in dramatic landscapes, and Mount Kilimajiro is iconic, but there are many lesser known game reserves to explore, with different varieties of wildlife, and where tourism is relatively low key compared to other countries.

The sister island of Pemba, just another 30 minutes north by light aircraft is much quieter and more primitive, but is a uniquely beautiful place for those seeking somewhere more peaceful and remote, whilst still providing high class accommodation and outstanding diving opportunities. It's beaches are virtually untouched, and there is abundant wildlife all around. Once visited, its quiet beauty leaves an everlasting impression.
